Synopsis by Jinko Labitag
Margaret (Freya Mavor) and her father Jack (John Henshaw), a manager of a local football team, meet the German soldier Bert Trautmann (David Kross) during a trip to the camp for prisoners of war near Manchester. Jack is so impressed by Bert’s skills as a goalkeeper that he immediately works to get him out of the camp to play for his team. Bert then launched his career as a football player despite disapproval from locals. Soon enough, his work is noticed by the Manchester City Football Club. Directed by Marcus H. Rosenmüller.
