Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Artist Burke Harlan (J. Warren Kerrigan) finds himself in hot water when he saves Anne Warren (Lillian Walker) from auto thieves. He himself is accused of stealing her car and is hauled off to jail. Anne's father, Wilbur (Joseph J. Dowling), is a criminologist and asks that Harlan be released into his custody so that he can try to reform him. Harlan goes along with this, mainly because it amuses him, and it also puts him closer to Anne. He does his best to make both Warrens believe that he is quite a crook. Coincidentally, Anne's other suitor is the police commissioner, but Harlan outsmarts everyone and elopes with Anne before revealing his true identity.
