Synopsis by Nathan Southern

This classical themed documentary finds celebrated composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein (1918-90) touring Japan during the summer of his final year, 1990 - the same period when he and Michael Tilson Thomas co-founded the Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo. The program depicts Bernstein imparting his musical knowledge and appreciation to a young generation of Japanese students.
