Born Marion Morrison, John Wayne became arguably the most iconic American movie star of the 20th century. The John Wayne Story: The Later Years utilizes film clips and archival footage to track the latter part of his amazing career. The highlights of this time include Wayne winning his Oscar for True Grit, directing himself in The Alamo, and his touching final performance in The Shootist.
