In exchange for a top executive position, George Jefferson (Sherman Hemsley) primes himself to sell his business to a mega-corporation. That's when he learns that his new contract has a forced-retirement clause -- one that will not only push aside George's best friend Ben (Richard Ward), but also George himself when he reaches the age of 60. Originally slated to air on October 23, 1976, this episode was moved forward to October 30.
