Synopsis by Nathan Southern

Nathaniel Parker and Sharon Small co-star as crime solvers Inspector Lynley and D.S. Havers, in the hit BBC series The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, adapted from the bestselling novels by Elizabeth George. Each week finds the duo unraveling a seemingly inscrutable case and - in the process - bringing lawbreakers to incriminating justice. Originally broadcast on March 17, 2005, the episode In Divine Proportion finds Havers back on the scene after her debilitating gunshot injury. She and Lynley head out to bucolic Suffolk, England, where they investigate the death of a woman apparently murdered by shotgun. Various scattered hints - including an enigmatic word painted on the crime scene wall and a photograph of the deceased quarreling with a local man - point the investigators to a long-buried village scandal. Meanwhile, Lynley openly worries about Havers, who attempts to counter deep-seated terrors about being back on the job and thus becoming susceptible to further casualties.
