Popular Canadian variety performer Ian McLean seemed to be everybody's guest during the 1960s and 1970s, but generally he was nobody's host. This state of affairs was briefly altered beginning April 3, 1976, when McLean headed his own weekly musical show. Telecast from the CBC's Edmonton facilities, The Ian McLean Show was a shining beacon of high-class entertainment for a whole two episodes.
