Synopsis by Matthew Tobey
David McCrea stars as a white rapper who gets a harsh lesson in the pitfalls of fame in this hip-hop-comedy. McCrea plays MC-Squared, a lyricist who hit the big time with his debut record but is now struggling to follow it up before his success slips away from him. Making matters more difficult is a rival rapper named Hoolie Hooligan. The first directorial effort from filmmaker Dave Gebroe, The Homeboy also features former MTV veejay Downtown Julie Brown.
