Synopsis by Dan Pavlides

This documentary concerns a West Virginia church congregation of snake handlers that speak in tongues, writhe, and feel the spirit of the Holy Ghost. The faithful followers drink poison from the snakes to prove their devotion in this church in rural Appalachia. The congregation collects money for a poor farm family in their hour of need. The feature is a reminder that their are many kinds of Christian denominations that share the same faith in Jesus but are radically different in their rituals and beliefs.
