Synopsis by Perry Seibert
The Hindenburg, considered at the time one of the greatest achievement in aeronautical engineering, was destroyed in mid-air as it sailed over Lakehurst, NY on the evening of May 6, 1937. This documentary employs the assistance of scientists at NASA in an attempt to explain what happened over the course of the Hindenburg's final voyage, an event usually referred to as one of the greatest disasters of the 20th century.
