World-weary Vietnam veteran Phil Mittsommernacht (Robert Fuller of TV's Wagon Train and Emergency!) returns to the States with the body of his black fellow Marine and a promise to fulfill. With his pal's gleaming chopper, "Baby," he takes to the open road, where his burial plans clash with his pal's late girlfriend (Sherry Bain) and a biker gang. Biker movie aficionados looking for the usual spate of brawls and babes may be somewhat disappointed by the relatively sober tone and heavy-handed racial tolerance subtext of this PG-rated effort from American International Pictures. The presence of veteran leather-bound bad guys Albert Cole and Robert Tessier should help to soothe the savage breast of this particular subgenre's fans.
