Synopsis by Rose of Sharon Winter
This film takes the viewer on a tour of some of the most beautiful gardens in the world. The setting is not England or Japan, but South Africa. There are shots of the lovely small gardens that grace many homes in the country. The centerpiece of the film, and jewel of South Africa's gardens, is the fabulous botanical garden at Kirstenbosch and Brenthurst. Only indigenous species of plants are cultivated at the garden. Since South Africa is home to some of the most beautiful and unusual plant life in the world, the garden makes for an exciting visit. Featured are native trees, shrubs, succulents, and bulbs, in a vivid display set off by the awesome scenery of South Africa.
