The Funny World of Lucy, Vol. 1 charts the early career of television legend Lucille Ball. The documentary shows how she started her show business career as a chorus girl for Goldwyn then moved through a few more studios before getting her first large part in the showbiz comedy Stage Door. Soon after that she met Desi Arnaz. The film includes many of Ball's television appearances with such luminaries as The Marx Brothers, Bob Hope, and Abbott & Costello.
