Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Stone-age suburbanite Fred Flintstone is fascinated by his neighbor Barney Rubble's invention, a two-man flying machine. Barney wants to call it "The Barneycopter", but Fred insists upon naming it "The Flintstone Flyer." The invention proves quite handy when, after ducking out of attending the opera with wives Wilma and Betty in order to go bowling, Fred and Barney need a quick method of transportation to keep the girls from finding out where they've gone. One of the two Flintstones pilot films prepared by Hanna-Barbera for potential sponsors, "The Flintstone Flyer" ended up as the series' debut episode.
