Amateur magician Fred tests out a "magic cabinet", using his wife Wilma and his pal Barney's wife Betty as guinea pigs. If the cabinet works properly, the girls should disappear. Amazing, this is exactly what happens--whereupon Fred and Barney, enjoying their temporary bachelor status, head off to the Rockland nightclub to hear some jazz music, courtesy of Hot Lips Hannigan. What the boys don't know is that Wilma and Betty haven't disappeared at all; in fact, they're on the way to Rockland even as we speak!
