When Fred expresses a desire to see if the predictions in Barney's science-fiction magazines will come true, the Great Gazoo transports Fred and Barney into the future--the 21st century, to be exact! Among other things, our heroes discover that Mr. Slate's Quarry is still in business--meaning that the four-dollar loan Fred finagled out of his boss back in the stone age has accrued interest in the billions. The throwaway gag about "Pey-Rock Place" being the only show on TV in the 21st century is a reference to the popular 1960s serial Peyton Place, which broke Prime Time network tradition by being telecast as many as three times per week (American Idol and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire hadn't happened yet!)
