Synopsis by Augustine Chay
Algerian-American journalist Assia Boundaoui directs her lens toward the FBI surveillance apparatus that is ubiquitous in her Arab-American community in Bridgeview, Illinois. Her documentary challenges decades of relentless scrutiny (which predates 9/11), racial profiling, institutional xenophobia, and religious discrimination – and the psychological strain it has inflicted over time.
