The serialized British adventure series The Feathered Serpent was set in Mexico, circa 750 A.D. Diane Keen starred as teenaged Toltec empress Chimalma, who spent most of her time avoiding the clutches of an evil priest, who had human sacrifice and absolute power on the brain. Featured in the cast was onetime Doctor Who star Patrick Troughton. Originally telecast by Thames Television in the summer of 1976, the 12 25-minute episodes of The Feathered Serpent were rebroadcast in the spring of 1978.
