When Lefteris (Peter Psyssoun) returns home after two years in the military, he finds his ancestral land on Mytilini Island has been taken over by the ruthless olive-oil tycoon Ambarras. Lefteris tries to rally other victims to fight back against the evil land grabber, but he is basically alone in his rebellion. He is falsely accused of murder, and Ambarras uses his wealth to bribe the locals into testifying against the heroic Lefteris. He escapes and his secretly hidden by his enemy's daughter, who realizes Lefteris is an innocent victim of her father's evil plan. The future fate of Lefteris galvanizes the village into standing up to Ambarras.
