After the publication of his epic novel Infinite Jest in 1996, author David Foster Wallace agreed to be accompanied on his book tour by Rolling Stone reporter David Lipsky in what would become an exhaustive five-day conversation between the men that would leave them both enriched and altered by the experience. Lipsky would go on to write about the interview in the critically acclaimed best-selling book Although of Course You End Up Becoming Yourself. Screenwriter Lipsky and director James Ponsoldt recreate for the big screen many of the events and actual taped conversations from that marathon interview in this compelling drama.
