Jeremy Sams directed and wrote this Baroque opera pastiche, culling inspiration from two Shakespeare plays: The Tempest and A Midsummer Night's Dream. Mounted by The Metropoitan Opera in 2011, and featuring music by Antonio Vivaldi, George Frideric Handel and others, it features musical accompaniment by the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, Chorus and Ballet, and a cast that includes Joyce di Donato, David Daniels, Luca Pisaroni and Plácido Domingo. William Christie conducts; Phelim McDermott produced for the stage.
