Synopsis by Robert Firsching
The Drivetime begins in 2023 on the Nostradamus Islands, where a man named Flux (Michael Douglas, but not the famous one) recalls the series of horrible earthquakes that had destroyed the U.S. years before. The current totalitarian government sends him to the past via "Drivetime" to retrieve archival footage of the pre-catastrophe world. When workers lose track of Real Time, the government sends tracers to reabsorb them into Dream Time -- or something like that. Flux goes to 1999 Seattle and watches the TeleVisionary Terrorist NetWeb along the way. The plot then gets lost in a barrage of found footage, dime-store philosophy, and dream sequences as the government broadcasts footage of non-existent riots in order to maintain "security."
