For decades, writer-director David Seltzer has enjoyed a career as one of Hollywood's most distinguished filmmakers. Seltzer studied at Northwestern University's School of Film and Television, then chalked up a series of scripting credits that included The Hellstrom Chronicle (1971), The Omen (1976) and Six Weeks (1982), before breaking through as a director with the still-influential coming-of-ager Lucas (1986) and scoring additional acclaim with the stand-up themed tragicomedy Punchline (1989). Now, in the release The Dialogue: Learning From the Masters - Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, Seltzer speaks openly and candidly to aspiring scriptwriters by sharing precious insights from his years penning scenes and dialogue, such as why one should never quarrel with celebrity actors and the one asset one should never forget en route to a directing gig.
