Warren's fiancee, Dare Keeling (Fritzi Brunette), also happens to the Grant's ex-sweetheart, and she believes in his innocence. Her brother, Larry (George Fisher), however, isn't so sure and he goes to work as Warren's secretary. He discovers papers which show he is guilty. At Warren's trial, Grant reveals a surprise witness -- Roan, and he testifies that Warren forced him to commit the crime. Warren shoots himself during his attempt to escape and Dare reunites with Grant.
