Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
The closed minds of a small town leave a devastated outsider all alone in dealing with the tragic loss of his family in this tale that explores what it truly means to be different in a homogenized community. A fire has claimed the lives of Morgan's family, and though an unpopular group of local teens attempt to stage a talent show to raise the funds needed to help him move, the plan stalls when no one signs up to take part in the big event. As the deeply-ingrained intolerance of the tightly-knit community rapidly ascends to the surface, Morgan attends a local revival meeting only to be forced into a "healing" staged to "cure" him of his homosexuality.
