In the conclusion of a two-part story, Johnny (Anthony Michael Hall) and Walt Bannerman (Chris Bruno) have successfully rescued four teenagers from a mine cave-in, but in the process Walt was seriously -- and perhaps fatally -- injured. Using his psychic powers to enter the mind of the comatose Bannerman in an effort to resuscitate his friend, Johnny finally realizes that it was predestined that his former fiancée, Sarah (Nicole de Boer), would marry Walt and not him. Things take a dark turn when a vision of Walt's deceased father appears -- a vision capable of killing both Walt and Johnny.
