Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The title character, played by George Nash, is an honest businessman who prevents a group of shifty types from cornering the cotton market. Nash later falls in love with Julia Hay, the daughter of one of his ex-partners. Jealousy rears its ugly head (bet you'd never hear that cliché again) in the form of Fred Truesdell, the son of another of Nash's partners. Truesdell exacts revenge in traditional stage-melodrama fashion by binding Julia hand and foot and tossing her into a grain elevator shaft. Wouldn't it have been a novelty had Hay not been rescued in the (ta da!) nick of time?
