Synopsis by Hal Erickson
After getting her drivers' license, Denise (Lisa Bonet) plans to spend the $1600 that she has managed to salt away on her first car. She promptly picks a good-looking "lemon" which is met with disdain by her parents Cliff (Bill Cosby) and Clair (Phylicia Rashad), and her first test drive (which bids fair to cost more than the car!) doesn't improve the situation. Saving the day--not to mention Denise's pocketbook--is the Huxtables' versatile handyman Sam Lucas (David Langston Smyrl).
