Golf owes much of its modern popularity to its televised coverage. Stars like Arnold Palmer, whose expressive face and winning personality made him a natural for television, developed a personal following among golf aficionados. The televised golf star circuit was born. Better and more world class courses were built to meet increased demand. The video looks at the game between 1945 and 1962.
