Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This Western was based on a novel by Peter B. Kyne and featured Harry Carey, then still an up-and-coming cowboy star. He plays gambler Ballrat Bob, who tries to halt Clem, a squatter (Joe Rickson), from gambling away all his money. Clem doesn't appreciate Bob's meddling and insists on playing the roulette wheel. Bob believes that Clem's wife (Olive Fuller Gordon) and child would be better off with Clem's savings, and gives them the money. This causes Clem to believe that his wife is having an affair with Bob and he proceeds to shoot up the town. He guns down a prospector and then goes after Bob. The whole town explodes into a gun fight and in his attempt to escape, he rides off a cliff and is killed. Olive Fuller Gordon was Carey's real-life wife, and in 1921 she would give birth to their son, Harry Carey, Jr.
