Synopsis by Olivia Cantor
It’s 1987, and neighborhood teens bring a new friend to do an autumn prank tradition: to hurl rocks at the house of the elderly couple Edith (Lin Shaye) and Edward Cranston (Tobin Bell) since the rumor in their sleepy town is that Edith is a witch. The teens later get the surprise of their lives when Edward calls and gathers them in his house for an announcement: Edith has died, and she left money for the teens in her will. Anyone who survives a one-minute phone call will get to take home the inheritance—but the call should be made to Edith in her grave. Directed by Timothy Woodward Jr.
