Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Because of their skill at playing cards, Sybil and Richard Vaughan (June Elvidge and Irving Cummings) make a good living as paid guests at various social functions. Unfortunately, Sybil and Richard are incurably improvident, and as such are nearly always courting bankruptcy. Even worse, Richard is far from honest, and after one contretemps over a misdeal he ends up getting himself killed. Left alone in the world, Sybil finds happiness in the arms of her long-time admirer Wallace Duncan (Frank Mayo), and for his sake she promises to give up gambling for keeps -- but will she? The notion of a hero and heroine who manage to remain in the highest society circles through the expedient of living by their wits was later expanded upon in several Noel Coward plays.
