Synopsis by Tom Ciampoli
This documentary profiles the employees of Yoshida Brewery, a small, family-owned establishment in northern Japan, as they painstakingly make the alcoholic beverage sake without the aid of automated machinery. The workers vary in age from the 65-year-old brewmaster to men in their twenties, but they are all united by their devotion to crafting the finest spirits possible through traditions that have existed for more than a century. Directed by Erik Shirai.
