This documentary examines the cultural forces that led to the punk explosion in London in 1976, a movement that led to the creation of such influential bands as The Sex Pistols and The Clash. In addition to analyzing the sociological and political trends that made the area ripe for a cultural revolution, the filmmakers profile many of the people who were there at the beginning of the movement including impresario Malcolm McLaren.
