Synopsis by Mark Deming
Innovative stage director Dario Fo made his operatic debut with this staging of Rossini's masterful comic opera Il Barbiere Di Siviglia (The Barber of Seville), in which Figaro the barber attempts to help Count Almaviva win the hand of Rosina, with much confusion as the result. The cast features Richard Croft, David Malis, and Jennifer Larmore, accompanied by the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra.
