In the first segment of the program, host Michael Moore notes that while Rudy Giulliani has cleaned up New York's sex shops, the mayor, according to rumors, also has a mistress and a girlfriend. Moore decides to open up a sex shop that complies with the new stricter law and also commemorates Giulliani. Various products include pictures of the mayor. Eventually the police arrive at the shop and Moore offers them a ten percent discount on all goods. Next, an Awful Truth correspondent reports on nursing home abuse. A kung-fu teacher instructs several seniors in the martial arts. Once they learn, they travel to a nursing home to teach the occupants how to strangle orderlies with IV tubes and knock someone out with a food tray. Throughout the program, The Awful Truth's camera travels to New York, Britain, and Canada where a "dead person" has been placed on the street. Which country, Moore wonders, will stop and help first.
