Synopsis by Augustine Chay
French director Xavier Giannoli’s suspenseful Catholic drama unfolds in rural France and Vatican City. A respected French journalist (Vincent Lindon) is commissioned by the Vatican to investigate a reported apparition of the Virgin Mary in the French countryside. He meets a young novitiate named Anna (Galatéa Bellugi), who has gained a considerable following after the sighting. As he investigates he veracity of her claims, he begins to question his own belief system.
