Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Dismissed by one critic as "The 16th Minute of Fame," this made-for-cable documentary focuses on three ordinary people who'd been briefly thrust into celebrity by virtue of their appearances on TV reality series. George Boswell, a roofer from Rockford, IL, had been seen nationwide on the first Big Brother; Tanya Paoni, a Las Vegas sales clerk, was a participant on Big Brother 3; and Colorado-born pre-med student Chadwick Pelletier was featured on Road Rules: Australia. In as non-judgmental a manner as possible, the special details the triumphs and failures that the three principals have experienced since falling from public favor (Boswell is in the midst of launching his own TV series, Paoni yearns to pose for Playboy, and Pelletier, holder of a martial arts black belt, is pursuing a career in action films). As indicated by its title, AMC Project: Reality People was originally a presentation of the American Movie Channel cable network.
