Synopsis by Mark Deming

Fedora-crowned adventurer Indiana Jones begins his career chasing danger in this TV movie, which follows the character back to his boyhood. The nine-year-old Indy (Corey Carrier) joins his father (Lloyd Owen), an anthropology professor, for an international lecture tour that takes him from New Jersey to Egypt, where they uncover both ancient artifacts and evidence of a recent murder. Assisting them in their investigation is none other than T.E. Lawrence. Years later, a teenaged Indy (Sean Patrick Flanery) is still getting himself into hot water as he has run-ins with Mexican rebel leader Pancho Villa (Mike Moroff) and is abducted by slave traders in Marrakech. Re-edited from episodes of the television series The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles: My First Adventure also features Margaret Tyzack as young Indy's tutor and Ruth DeSosa as his mother.
