Synopsis by Nathan Southern
Per its title, the documentary series Test Pilots discusses the lives, roles and accomplishments of the men and women in America who test-fly state-of-the-art aircraft, putting their safety on the line as they push the vehicles to undreamt-of extremes. In the volume entitled Full Tilt, the United States Armed Forces have allowed flight testing on the RAH-66 Comanche Stealth Fighter to fall severely behind schedule. This gives the test pilots assigned to the vehicle - Reggie Murrell and Russ Stiles - only a single flight to prove the aircraft combat-worthy. Alec Baldwin (Prelude to a Kiss) narrates.
