Synopsis by Dan Pavlides

Memphis, Tennessee native and former Vietnam veteran Terry Whitmore is the sole subject of this film. The former marine is interviewed, from his home in Sweden, about his early life in Memphis and his experience as a Marine who earned the Bronze Star. Decorated by President Johnson and South Vietnamese Vice President Nguyen Cao Ky, Whitmore recalls the often brutal war where an entire village is gunned down as retribution for a sniper attack. He recovers from wounds in Japan and has an affair with a local woman before he receives word to return to combat. Moore opts to desert and the colorful storyteller recounts his social, political and military stances in this engaging interview.
