Celebrating their friendship after a passionate performance of "Sex Song" at open mic night, Jack (Jack Black) gives Kyle (Kyle Gass) a massive Friendship Medallion. But Kyle seems to have plans that might bring the two apart. Jack's description of a Satan-loving, spine-pierced clogger named Flarna (Laura Milligan) has sent Kyle into a tizzy. Kyle makes his way to Flarna's place of work, Captain Ed's Records, using Jack's inside information to win the wacky girl's heart. When Jack finds the two clogging together, he's not exactly pleased. A madcap, song-fueled bit of fighting ensues, but a gunman disrupts the fight and fires a bullet at Jack. Jack is saved when Kyle shields him from the bullet with his own body. Back at the club, Jack performs "Kyle Took a Bullet" in honor of his friend, who appears first as a ghost and then in the flesh. The D is back together, because the Friendship Medallion stopped the bullet and saved Kyle's life.
