Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
Set in an earlier period in Iran, a newlywed couple whose union marks a reconciliation between feuding clans, sets off on their honeymoon. On the way, they are beset by a wolf during a terrific storm. They stumble upon an aristocrat's mansion, and take shelter there. The only inhabitants are a slightly addled nobleman and his repellent servant. The nobleman is still mourning the loss some years ago of his bride early in their marriage. Quite early in their stay, the young man's wife wanders off into the palace and gets lost. She discovers the nobleman's wife, who has been held captive by the servant, who is truly mad and wants sole posession of the palace. To that end, he is also poisoning the nobleman.
