A spin-off of the British series Robot Wars, the five-episode Techno Games was telecast to coincide with National Science Week. Something of a high-tech Olympics, the series pitted 80 robots (and their creators) in a series of sports contests, each with its own special and very exacting set of rules. Naturally, many of the clinky-clanky contestants were knocked out with each successive round, until only two were left. Techno Games was broadcast by BBC2 from March 20 to March 24, 2000.
