Synopsis by Nathan Southern
Chinese contemporary composer Tan Dun built his reputation on numerous contributions to avant garde music that witnessed him building symphonies out of non-traditional instruments. The piece featured here (Dun's three-movement Water Symphony) draws on H20 both visually and aurally. Artist David Cossin is the featured performer; The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra provides symphonic accompaniment.
