Synopsis by Dan Pavlides

In this pacifistic drama, a Polish Army officer who fled to London after the war returns home when he learns his wife is ill. She has never recovered from the disappearance of the couple's 12 year-old son. When the father returns, he discovers that not only is his son very much alive, but he also has mystic tendencies. The officer is disturbed when he learns his wife may have been a partisan and his son may have turned in his own mother to the authorities. Although the war is over, all the characters bear the permanent scars inflicted by the conflict.
