Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

For fans of synthpop is just doesn't get any better than Synthcon 01, and in this release of a three-day event staged to celebrate the music made famous by such acts as Erasure and New Order fans can finally see all of their favorite acts performing on one stage. Though once the musical arena of only the most daring avant-garde musical artists, synthpop has gone on to enjoy increasing mainstream success thanks to the bands that made the sound pioneered by such acts as Kraftwerk more accessible to the masses. In addition to the live performances, fans can also take a look at a synthpop convention that was staged during the event, as well as a special documentary exploring the roots and history of the synthpop movement.
