The 1991 Salisbury Festival gets underway with an awe-inspiring concert spectacular featuring stunning special effects and appearances by a bevy of world-famous stars including Placido Domingo and Jessye Norman set against the backdrop of the magnificent Salisbury Cathedral. With an enormous projection screen placed on the cathedral's West Front, Scottish composer Patrick Doyle leads a symphony orchestra in performing his acclaimed score to Kenneth Branagh's Henry V as the movie plays out for a captivated audience. An addition performance of "Act II" from Verdi's Aida precedes a colorful fireworks display as Handel's La Réjoissance from &Music for the Royal Fireworks" is performed, and the evening subsequently draws to a close with a performance of Parry's "Jerusalem".
