Synopsis by Tom Ciampoli
A restless bakery owner falls in love with his job once again after hiring an elderly assistant in this intimate slice-of-life drama. Sentaro (Masatoshi Nagase), who has becomes slightly bored with his job as a breakfast cook, takes in the 76-year-old Tokue (Kirin Kiki) as an employee after posted an advertisement in the paper. Tokue lends her recipe for the perfect pan paste, used as a filling for dorayaki pancakes, that gives the bakery some prominence and prestige. However, an illness forces the culinary sage to draw back from the job that has given her new life.
