Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Day 28 in the Guatemalan jungle finds one less castaway on hand: Jamie Newton has been voted out of the game, a move that comes as quite a surprise to him despite his pronounced steak of paranoia! In the Reward Challenge, each survivor is giving a batch of hanging pots, marked with his or her name and filled with corn; those players who correctly answer questions about Mayan culture are allowed to smash the pots, one by one. The last person with a pot still hanging is declared the winner (Simple?) The grand prize this time includes a waterfall sauna, a tropical feast, and a full-body massage. And the later Immunity Challenge involves more Mayan folklore and yet another puzzle to assemble. Meanwhile, tension continues to mount between Lydia Morales and Stephenie LaGrossa, the latter feeling stronger and more emboldened than she'd been on Survivor: Palau.
